Data protection
We comply with the Data Protection Act and use every effort to handle the personal data of internet users carefully. By using our website you declare that you agree to the processing of the data collected concerning you in the manner described in this Data Protection Declaration and for the purposes described.
Personal data
Personal data refers to all information relating to a person whose identity is determined or can be determined, including information such as their name, address, telephone number or email. This includes both individuals and legal entities concerning whom the data is processed.
Procurement of personal data
Personal data is only collected where it is necessary for the performance of services offered, for orders, for airport delivery, participation in competitions and the use of offers tailored to the individual. Generally this is information about the name, address, email, flight details, flight time and date, user name and password. Any person is free to provide further information. Every person is informed in advance as to the purpose for which the data is being procured. Particularly sensitive personal data is not collected.
Use of personal data
Personal data collected by us is generally only used to perform services that are notified to the User. If we plan to use the data in another way, for example to make the User aware of features, products and services, the User can prohibit his data being used for a service other than the service originally requested. However, we do not process the data ourselves in every case but receive this service in some cases from our outsourcing partners.
Tracking data
In order to improve the service offered, we collect so-called tracking data which provides us with information concerning the surfing behaviour of users. Such tracking data does not allow the identity of individual users to be inferred and so no one’s identity can be determined based on this data.
The following tracking system is used:
Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc.
Use of cookies/opt out
These tracking systems use so-called “cookies”, text files which are saved on your computer and enable website use to be analysed. The information generated by the cookies concerning the use of our website (including the IP addresses of the users) is transferred to central servers (in the case of Google Analytics to servers in the USA) and stored there. The information is prepared in order to analyse your use of our website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide other services associated with website use and internet use. Where applicable, this information is transferred to third parties where prescribed by statute or where third parties are subcontracted to process this data. Under no circumstances will your IP address be linked with other data. You can prevent the cookies from being installed by adjusting your browser software accordingly (Opt Out); we should, however, point out that in this case you may not be able to fully use all the functions of our website.
What data is tracked by cookies
Cookies are used to track user interests such as:
• Preference of individual articles (e.g. category News-domestic)
• Use frequency (number of sites visited in one day)
Deletion of personal data
Any user may ask for data collected about him to be deleted from the database.
Information and correction right
Any person about whom personal data is collected has the right to ask to be informed of what data is being processed concerning them. Any affected person may call for data to be corrected or deleted from the register of addresses.
Protection of personal data
The data that is collected is tracked electronically. We ensure that appropriate technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal data from unauthorised processing.
Misuse of data
In the case of misuse or a suspected criminal act we are authorised to analyse the data and, if requested, to pass it to the competent official authorities where we have a statutory obligation to do so. If we notice that the personal data of a third party is being used by a user, that user will be banned from the services.
